Understand How Systems Work

The Lowara e-MP series is a robust and reliable pumping system for virtually any high pressure application. The advantages of thermal storage as part of an installation that provides intermittent temperature conditioning are obvious: the peak power requirement is reduced; this peak can be shifted to a lower tariff time of day; chilling plant can operate at close to 100% capacity, i.e. maximum efficiency; and the maximum electrical demand can be reduced significantly, further reducing running costs.
The evaluation phase consists of a desktop study, which incorporates step-by-step analysis of traditional energy conservation technologies (insulation, high performance glazing, low energy lighting systems, control of the heating system, etc.) and then more individual inverter horizontal pump advanced and substantial improvements (e.g. natural hybrid ventilation control system, innovative insulation systems, passive and active solar and micro-generation technology such as PV) improving the building envelope, ventilation, lighting and heating.
The system consisted of one 20 horsepower (hp) and two 30 hp vertical turbine pumps, ran at full speed and the pressure was controlled by pressure regulating valves, which reduced the system's overall efficiency, and required scheduled annual maintenance.

When the temperature of the solar collectors exceeds that of the storage by the predetermined amount (usually 4-11 °C), the DTC switches the circulating pump ON. When the temperature of the solar collectors decreases to 2-5 °C above the storage temperature, the DTC stops the pump.
The cells are surrounded by a number of boundaries that represent the surfaces that enclose the space and any openings into it. The temperature of the boundaries, air movement at openings, inputs from building services systems and so on are then added.
In addition to the simple rooftop storage tanks that subsequently feed water into the building's water system via gravity, there are hydro-pneumatic pressure tanks that use air pressure to further increase the water supply pressure at the point of use.
